Saturday was a glorious day. Woke up at 8 a.m. to go get a haircut over at the O'Donnell's. The haircut is looking great in case you were wondering. From there I went to watch Graz's Beadling game up at the high school. They won 3-1 and it made me excited to watch him play collegiately next year.
From there we went back to Ty's house and Mrs. Graz made lunch before Ty and I headed out to do our big boy duties. We both deposited money in the bank and went to the mall to walk around.
After our mall walking was done I dropped Ty off at home so he could get ready for his next game at 4 and I went over to Draino's to play some NHL.
Jared decided to go watch Ty's game at 4 so I went home. Soon enough Frankowski was over and we were watching a documentary on Steve Bartman and the 2003 Chicago Cubs. For those of you who don't know who Steve Bartman was you can look him up in Wikipedia, basically he is notorious for ruining the Cubs' chances of going to the World Series. He was a man caught in the wrong place at the wrong time and he touched a foul ball that some people think he shouldn't have touched. The question became whether the ball crossed into the stands or whether Steve reached into the field of play. In the end it didn't matter and his life would never be the same. It brought to mind the idea of crossing lines...an idiom that usually has a negative connotation. Crossing lines isn't always a bad thing, if you're crossing lines for the right reasons.
There's a fine line between most things life...
Some lines were meant to be crossed and others weren't. Lines keeping you from happiness should be crossed at all costs. Lines keeping you safe are lines you should remain weary of. Some lines are more uncertain then others though...
like the line between love and lust
between living and existing
between fine and alright
between gone and forgotten
between happy and content
and between you and I
I feel as far as those lines are concerned I'm living not just existing, and because of that I won't be forgotten when I'm gone. I'm extremely happy and alright. I am me, you are you, and it's always been love.
Lines were drawn to be crossed and erased, and are simply barriers we break to prove how badly we want something.
